Building words, and worlds-
WordBuilders is an international community building the employability skills of the underprivileged children across the globe through platforms powered through tech. We build upon the idea of unraveling the web of economic and linguistic disparities by bridging the digital divide in the society.
Students under quarantine
The programs at Word Builders are built to bridge the gap between the underprivileged students and the skills required to pursue a career they are passionate about. The programs are conducted through a series of interactive activities, case-studies and practicals, so that we can promote a learning unlike the conventional classrooms, and truly create a community, where we truly realize what knowledge means.
A community INKlusive of everyone
The Road Map
This marks the final stage of the program, which is concluded by the final project, putting to test the skills learned during the course of the program. It is the cumulation of memories, intellectual discussions and bad puns.
The baseline research involves a holistic process of analysing the demographics, technological availability, financial situation of the children. Before teaching, we realize the need of educating ourselves with their conditions, past and present.
Initiating and progressing the program on the basis of analysis results. Progressing through each session via practical applications, quizzes, activities and discussions.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
“I congratulate the team of Word Builders for the initiative to empower the underprivileged.
This project to train the underprivileged holds deep appreciation in my heart as this is the big step by the young team. This team led by a young girl,Jahnavi, in grade 12 of our school, speaks the intent and dreams of the youth the of the present.
They are focussed for not only self ,but all.
I wish them luck and may they bring the long awaited change for the world to be a better place. ”
As a part of the COVID-19 relief fund, WordBuilders has initiated a fundraiser called the "WordBuilders" fundraiser, that has raised 1,00,000+ rupees to aid children across the country.
Given that most learning is now online, it is imperative to provide technological resources to those who cannot afford them.
