The Word Builders Family

The WordBuilders team is made of all the students, volunteers, NGO partners, teachers, and curators that make every single session, online or offline, possible. A team that started from a single person in the small city of Jalandhar is now established across 8 states in India and abroad. Ever-growing & ever-determined.
THE FOUNDER

Jahnavi Mahajan, a seventeen-year old senior from Cambridge International School for Girls started WordBuilders in 2018. Since the age of 12, Jahnavi has been working towards breaking down the notion of "bare minimum" that many children are forced to be content with. Not just education, but quality education. Having closely worked with many children from underprivileged backgrounds, she identified that the ultimate problem was the lack of employability skills, preventing children from growing up to get good job placements. To solve this problem, she has used passion for Language, technology, and social justice, to bring form to WordBuilders with a single idea at its core: Education helps not only in building words, but worlds.
The ever-growing team of Word Builders has worked to prepare programs and teach them to students across India and the world, in both real-time and online.
